In this hands-on workshop, we will explore your Canvas course, Canvas gradebook, Canvas messaging, Q gradebook, how to sync your Canvas gradebook with Q, and how to have students complete and submit assignments using the Notability app. Many teachers administer graded, digital assignments and quizzes through Canvas. Others distribute work to be completed with Notability and submitted for credit via Canvas. We will look at how these apps and systems work together to support instruction and learning in your class.
Participants will explore their Canvas course(s) and gradebook, learning the basics of navigation, content distribution, and assignment creation. Participants will also login to their Q profile to explore, begin to set up their Gradebook, and learn how to sync the Canvas and Q gradebooks. Participants will also learn the basics of the Notability app, including downloading PDFs, completing work, and submitting work to Canvas.
Participants will gain practical skills and knowledge to get started using Canvas, Q, and Notability in the classroom. These tools can streamline the grading processes, improve communication with students and caregivers, and facilitate the completion and submission of assignments.
This workshop is appropriate for secondary teachers with any level of experience teaching with Canvas, Q, and iPad apps. Participants will need to bring both a fully charged laptop and iPad.
